Kenneth Weaver, PA-C

 

Kenneth (Kenny) Weaver PA-C works as an extension healthcare provider of Dr. William F. Hefley, Jr., M.D., treating patients for injury and illness of the hip, knee and shoulder and using minimally invasive joint replacement techniques, arthroscopy and conservative measures.

 

As a native of Arkansas he joined the United States Army 82nd Airborne as a Combat Medic in 1988. After four years and two deployments he joined the Arkansas National Guard while attending the University of Arkansas at Little Rock to earn a Bachelors of Science degree in Biology. In 1997 he was accepted to the Military Interservice Physician Assistant program, graduating in January 2000.

 

Kenny is currently board certified through the National Commission of Certification of Physicians Assistants (NCCPA) and board certified Physician Assistant Surgical Assist since 2000. He has been a fellow member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and Arkansas Academy of Physician Assistants since 2000.

 

Kenny retired from Arkansas National Guard as Battalion Medical Officer in 2009 with 21 years and 4 deployments to Desert Shield/Desert Storm and 2 to Operation Iraqi Freedom.

 

Kenny resides in North Little Rock with his wife Tamara since 1996 and they have 3 children, Corbin, Logan and Grace. In his spare time Kenny enjoys running, biking, hunting and fishing. He is also an active member of I.C. Church..

Christian C. Perry, PA-C

 

Christian C. Perry (Chris) has been with Bowen Hefley Orthopedics since 2003. Chris attended Wake Forest University, Winton-Salem, NC and graduated cum laude in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science degree. After obtaining his undergraduate degree he then attended Yale University School of Medicine’s Physician Associate Program in New Haven, CT and graduated in 1995.

 

Upon passing his national boards in 1995, Chris went to work for the Hughston Clinic, PC in Columbus, Georgia which at the time was the largest orthopedic group in Georgia. Chris worked with a traumatologist and reconstructive sports medicine surgeon and was involved with the teaching of new Orthopedic surgeons completing Fellowships in Orthopedics and Sports Medicine.

 

After 8 years in Georgia, Chris joined Dr. Scott Bowen in 2003. Chris is actively involved with all aspects of the practice and sees patients both in the office and the hospital, as well as operates with Dr. Bowen. Chris calls his move to Arkansas and Bowen Hefley Orthopedics “the best professional move I have ever made”.

 

Chris has been married to his high school sweetheart, Janet, since 1995 and they have 2 daughters, Lauren Grace (2002) and Caroline (2004). He is an active member of Fellowship Bible Church in Little Rock.

Hannah Banning, PA-C

 

Hannah Banning, PA-C is a part of Dr. Paul Edward’s team and joined Bowen Hefley Orthopedics in 2020. She specializes in the treatment of hip and knee pain including total joint replacement and revisions for failed replacements. She is a very active part of patients’ care and sees patientsin the clinical setting as well as assists in the operating room.

Hannah was born and raised in Clarksville, Arkansas. She attended the University of Central Arkansas for undergraduate studies where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. After college she worked as an oral surgery assistant for 2 years before attending theUniversity of Arkansas for Medical Sciences for a Masters in Physician Assistant Studies. Hannah immediately joined Dr. Paul Edwards in practice after graduation in 2018.

Hannah is currently board certified through the National Commission of Certification of Physicians Assistants (NCCPA) since 2018. She has been a fellow member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and Arkansas Academy of Physician Assistants. 

Hannah has been married to her high school sweetheart, Connor, for 4 years now. They reside in Little Rock with their two fur babies, Henry and Harley. In her free time she enjoys fitness, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.

JoBeth Peace, PA-C

 

JoBeth Peace, PA-C joined Dr. Stewart’s team specializing in evaluation and treatment of the shoulder, hip, and knee in May of 2020. She is actively involved with all aspects of patient care and treats patients both in the clinic and the hospital, as well as operates with Dr. Stewart.

 

JoBeth is originally from Tennessee, but is no stranger to Arkansas. She attended Arkansas State University in Jonesboro where she earned her Bachelor Degree in Athletic Training and where she initially fell in love with orthopedic surgery. From there she went to PA school at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale. Knowing that she wanted to pursue a career in surgery, she advanced to Duke University in North Carolina where she completed a highly competitive surgical residency. After graduation, she took a job back home in Jackson, Tennessee with Sports, Orthopedics, & Spine before eventually moving to Maumelle, Arkansas where she has been for the past 10 years. She brings a seasoned and versatile background having worked in general surgery, orthopedic surgery, urgent care, and dermatologic surgery.

 

She is currently board certified through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is licensed through the Arkansas State Medical Board. She is an active member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants.

 

When she is not helping and advocating for her patients, her utmost priority is her family. She currently resides in Maumelle with her husband, Wade, and their two handsome boys and two adorable dogs. Health and fitness have always been a passion of hers and she enjoys running and working out with her family. In her personal time she loves to read and has a thirst for knowledge and is always up for learning new things. She is a believer and follower of Christ and attends New Life Church.

Kierstin Daugherty, PA-C

Kierstin Daugherty, PA-C joined Dr. Samuel Moore’s team in 2022 specializing in the evaluation and treatment of shoulder, hip and knee. She plays an active role in patient care and sees patients in the clinic and hospital, as well as assists in the OR.

Kierstin is originally from North East Texas. She attended the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, AR where she received her Bachelor’s degree. Kierstin worked in the medical field throughout her college years before attending PA school at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, where she graduated with a Master’s of Science in Physician Assistant Studies in August of 2020. After graduation, she worked in orthopedic surgery in Texas before joining Dr. Moore’s practice.

Kierstin is currently certified through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and is licensed through the Arkansas State Medical Board. She is an active member of American Academy of Physician Assistants and Physician Assistants in Orthopedic Surgery.

Kierstin has been married to her husband, Andrew, since October 2020. They reside in central Arkansas with their 3 dogs, Jagger, Junah and Josie. She enjoys her free time outdoors, traveling and spending time with her friends and family.

Grace J. Jenkins, PA-C

Grace (Gracie) Jenkins, PA-C joined the team at Bowen Hefley Orthopedics in September of 2023. She assists Dr. William F. Hefley, Jr., M.D. in both the operating room and clinical settings, specializing in the evaluation and treatment of patients with illness and injury of the hip, knee and shoulder. Gracie is eager to encourage patients in their journey to achieving a healthier lifestyle along with providing patients with an excellent quality of care.

 

Gracie is from Benton, Arkansas, where she attended Benton High School, graduating summa cum laude in 2017. She continued her education at Ouachita Baptist University, graduating summa cum laude in 2021 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with minors in Chemistry and Psychology. During her free time and summers, she spent time achieving direct patient care through volunteering in elder service, working as a Certified Nursing Assistant, and spending countless hours alongside her grandfather, Dr. William N. Jones, in his Dermatology clinic. 

 

Upon completion of her undergraduate degree, Gracie returned to the Little Rock area and began the Physician Assistant Program at UAMS. She was recognized each semester with Superior Academic Achievement and graduated in August of 2023 with a Master of Physician Assistant studies with High Honors. Gracie states during her clinical rotations she very quickly developed a passion for patient care through surgical specialties, and she found in her last core rotation that orthopedic surgery was where she could most clearly see herself growing as a provider. She is board certified through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and is licensed through the Arkansas State Medical Board. She is currently a member of the Arkansas Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA). 

 

Gracie is happily married to her husband, Reid, who is also in the medical field. She values quality time with friends and family. She greatly enjoys the outdoors, particularly the Buffalo National River area in Boxley, Arkansas. Gracie also loves taking time to be creative whether that be through pottery, calligraphy, or other forms of art. She is an active member of First Baptist Church in Benton. Gracie is very excited to serve the BHO community for many years to come!
